So, about two weeks ago I was in a car accident where a texting driver slammed into the back of my Kia Optima going a full thirty miles an hour. I was at a dead stop waiting for a pedestrian to cross at a marked crosswalk when it happened. The damage was enough to total my car.

Sure, I was angry at the driver for not paying attention and destroying my car, but it wasn't until my mother talked to the pedestrian a week later that it really came to me. If I hadn't have been there he would have hit her. At the speed he was going he would have killed her. It looks like someone's family had something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

I felt like such a hero.

Uhm, it's a roller coaster ride, that's for sure. I don't know whether things are looking up or down. I feel stuck in neutral. Hmm, I hope with the new year things will look up.
